Volunteers Needed…

I mentioned last night that we needed some help in various areas, several folks have already stepped up and have jumped right in setting up things like fileshare, linkedin, mogulus, etc., but we still have a few needs that I wanted to throw out there…

  • Facebook Group Management – I almost forgot to send out the notification about the meeting this past week, if someone would be willing to help me keep an eye on that it would be a big help.  Just shoot me a note and I will get you added.
  • Equipment Coordination – This past meeting we had some technical issues regarding a VGA cable, and at least 10 of us in the room mentioned that we all had one at home.  If someone would be willing to kind of coordinate the equipment gathering process that would be a huge help so whoever is doing the presentation that week doesn’t have to track down cables, etc.
  • Blog Management – As we grow in size this website is going to become a lot more useful, we already have plans in the works to publish slides from presentations given to the site as well as streaming the meetups for those that can’t attend in person.  Managing the site is not a big deal, it’s setup on Wordpress and anyone in the group can do it, and I certainly don’t mind doing it, but if I should get bogged down on a project (that pays money) I don’t want the site to get neglected.  If you are interested in helping out in that arena, just shoot me a note and I will get you setup as an admin.
  • Also, I know we had a ton of folks at the meetup last night that we don’t have their blogs or company’s listed on our site, if you fit into that category, shoot me a note at: cotton.rohrscheib@pleth.com and I will gladly add you to the growing list.  We probably need someone to kind of help us keep track of how many people we have at each meeting and also link up new people’s information on the site.  If you are interested just shoot me a note on that, we try to hang onto business cards after the meeting but I haven’t had a chance to get the ones added from our 2nd meeting yet.

These are just a few areas that stick out right now, and I am sure that I will add some more to this list as things come up.  Just wanted to throw this out there, I know that several of you mentioned last night that you would be interested in helping out.
